CAVE INTERIORS

Georgina Cave set up her eponymous design studio in 2002. A new addition to this year's Top 100 Interior Designer list, she creates comfortable rooms which, while tailored and meticulously planned, are packed with personality and down to earth.

Alternative career 'I adore the ballet, so would have loved to design the sets for the Royal Opera House or Matthew Bourne's productions. I recently visited the Royal Opera House's production workshop at Thurrock, and the workmanship and detail that goes into every set is overwhelmingly brilliant.'

Loves 'Subverting traditional takes on colour for example, using pink in a dirty or bold, rather than sugary way.'
